IVF insurance question..
ugh, sorry about all these questions now..
but if you were to have 3 covered IVF cycles.. what does that actually mean? this is over a lifetime.
the insurance doesnt know exactly.. whatever that means.. all they know is its 3.
like i know a little bit about FET's.. would that be a part of 1 cycle?
what is your take on this?

I have the same coverage- and we're totally having the same questions at the same time!
I take it as covering 3 IVF cycles- whether fresh or frozen. So if you have frozen embryos and need to do more IVF's, the FET's would count towards your 3.

My Aetna option at work is 3 lifetime, fresh or frozen.

Do you have GHI through City of NY Employees?
When you go to Dr. B's office, Margaret will give you a sheet with everything checked off that is covered.
I have GHI/CBP Cityof NY Employees - it's 3 complete cycles, meaning retrievals & fresh transfers, PLUS 3 frozen cycles.

I also have UHC! I just thank god for the 3 but that would be nice to have 3 fresh and 3 frozen!
