I've never asked for this before but...
Can I please get some prayers/good vibes from your ladies? I've been waiting 4 years for a transfer at my job and there is a position opening in a few weeks that I desperately want. My current job is not only dangerous, but very stressful and depressing
Thank you in advance I need all the help I can get!!

I had a few people ask exactly what I do now thats soooo bad. I'm an STD Investigator/Disease Intervention Specialist for the Health Dept. Whenever someone tests positve for an infection-- HIV, syphilis, etc.-- they get reported to my office and I have to find them and try to find out who they had sex with. Then I have to locate those people and tell them that they may be infected. It involves a TON of field work that I do all alone and as you can imagine, people aren't too happy when I'm knocking on their door There have been other people in my position that have been assaulted and even raped, so I'm in a constantly a nervous wreck. And I've been doing this for almost 9 years.

OMG wow! That is some job. It's a good thing you are doing- you are helping people out there. I could never do it though. I couldn't imagine how you must feel working that job!

Wow that sounds EXTREMELY stressful. It's a great thing you are doing, but I don't blame you for wanting a change! I certainly couldn't do it!
