IUI Questions
Has anyone had luck with this? We have been trying just about a year and have an appt with by dr in 2 weeks. She told me she would recommend some infertility specialists and they may suggest IUI. I have read online a little about it, but have some questions. How greater are the chances of getting pregnant with this method? Are there side effects? Do most insurances cover this procedure? Is there a greater chance of having multiples?

Re: IUI Questions
we have done 8 but i have a lot of issues so do not get discouraged, many many people have had success with iui
the upping of the chances is not that much greater but it is higher..iui basically just takes the swim part out of the sperm..they put them where they need to be..and they only use the best ones in a process called"washing" the sperm before they insert you
side effects none..tit takes 5 min and it is very similar to a pap..u dh drops his sample off or he does it there..bout 45 minlater it is ready..u go in clamped up and turkey basted lol...u might feel a cramp for a second but that is it..it is not bad i promise..then u lay for 10 mon and u r good to go..my dod did back to bac so u might go the next day
our insurance covered it 100 percent and we had unlimited
the only way u will have a greater chance at multiles is if u r doing a medicated iui..did they mentioned drugs like clomid, femara, or a trigger shot
u can have a unmedicated iui but if u have problems with ovulation i would assume u r doing a medicated one
good luck
