iui in the evening?

I'm still waiting for my iui mailer that I am getting from my dr. Since her office closes at 9 each night M-F she said I can do my iui's in the evening. Did any of you do this? I'm only asking bc usually I use the opk in the morning and when I get my smiley I stop testing. Does this mean I should test in the am and pm? For those who do get smileys how soon after getting the positive did you get the iui done?

Are you having IUI's performed by your gyn? Are your IUI's medicated?

When you get your you will usually ovulate 24-36hrs from then. For my IUI's I have used a trigger shot.

I had one of my IUIs at night. Got smilely about 11am and went in that evening.

Another time I got smilely at 5pm ish and went in the next morning

I usually go the same afternoon that I've gotten the smiley in the morning, but my office does IUI the second day if they still see the follicle in the ovary. I guess I have slow follicles because every time i've done an IUI cycle I always have to go back the second day and usually by that time we still see a small part of the follicle/egg in the ovary so getting a smiley in the morning and going in the evening should be okay (even if you were the exact opposite from me and released your egg really quickly it will still be in the tube by the evening so I wouldn't worry about it.

thank you all. I O on my own but this will be a medicated cycle with clomid. My dr said call when I get my smiley. I was just worried that I may miss my time frame if I don't test in the am and pm. I keep checking the mailbox everyday for the iui mailer like its a gift coming in the mail. Lol.
