IUI
Does anyone know how much IUI costs if paying out of pocket? I have coverage for 3 attempts combined of IUI and IVF per lifetime, and am wondering how expensive the IUI is itself. I'm afraid that if we end up doing IUI and it fails then we wouldn't be able to afford IVF if we needed it in the future.

Re: IUI
I believe the actual IUI procedure is about $300-400.....I'm pretty sure thats what the RE's office told me. Good luck to you!!

Re: IUI
It totally depends on what you are doing and what is covered. The actual IUI may only cost $300, but the monitoring and meds cost a lot more. The total cost of an IUI cycle could be around $2/3K as opposed to an IVF cycle which may run around $10K. Plus, you have to take into consideration your issues. Someone with PCOS would do very well with IUI's, however in your case you are dealing with Male Factor which is not going to give you much more success with IUI. When you are dealing with MF you are usually better off going straight to IVF where they can fertilize the eggs directly.
