Re: IUI 2ww

I go to North Shore and I am really happy there. I have Dr. Hershlag and I just love him. I haven't got pregnant yet but I am hopefull it will work. I have unexplained infertility and my dh is fine too. They did tell me I was old (i'm 38) and that made me cry however with the crazy hormones that happens alot, lol. How are you doing?
first off.. 38 is not 'too old' to get pregnant. I went to RSofNY in Mineola for almost 2 years, and am 38 now. Not once did anyone there tell me i was old, or had any less of a chance yet of conceiving. I find it horrible that a dr would have said that to you
and secondly.. don't give up hope. I'm 38 and recently got pregnant after 2 years of trying (diagnosed with unexplained infertility also). So it can and will happen for you too!!

Re: IUI 2ww
hhhmmm I don't remember anyone with sunglasses on, I was sitting by the coffee machine, that sounds like a good idea though, I could have used some relaxation, I was so anxious.
And I agree, he was so nice and made me feel so comfortable too, his brother is my OB/GYN and he is just like him

I am def. trying to keep positive, I go tomorrow morning for bloodwork, I hope you are keeping positive too
His brother is Dr. Gus San Roman and he is located in Davis Professional Park in Port Jeff Station, right off of 347, so basically he is east on the same road as RSof NY in Stony Brook. 631-474-8826

Re: IUI 2ww
HI Hope the blood work went okay. I am praying for you. I am actually doing well this time as acupuncture is doing wonders for me....
I went yesterday to acupuncture and i feel "human" again. It makes me so calm. I recommend it to everyone.
Thank you for the info about Dr. I appreciate it.
I am not always positive but to be honest i think i have so much other stuff going on this time i feel like i havent had much time to sit and actually think which is a great thing.

Re: IUI 2ww
I hadn't quite gotten AF yet but knew that it was coming, but for some reason, that phone call with the news I was dreading was like getting kicked in the stomach, my last 2 IUIs AF just arrived prior to it.
I am still feeling down but trying to gear up for the next cycle, AF still hasn't officially arrived so I am waiting so I can go for my sono and bloodwork and start all over again.....good luck to both of us this time

I totally hear you. I got my AF the night before but of course was hoping it would stop... Did you tell them you have not gotten your AF yet? I started Clomid yesterday and freaked out alittle about all the side effects you can have -- talked ot my friend and she laughed and said stop reading and take it She was on it a bunch of times. I thought Dr Stelling was starting me at 50MG but he said take 2 pills a day and thats 100mg so i called the nurse at night but she said thats what he does so i took it. I feel fine though lol I dont even get how clomid works.. I guess they track me and then tell me when you go for my IUI who knows...I should ask more questions. Tuesday i have to go for a HSG Test----again freaking out but my friend had it said it can be painful for like a second with cramps but it goes away quick and my cousin said the same thing and she went to work after so i guess ill survive just nervous.... Did you ever have that test? I am praying for us...

AF did finally show up on Friday so I go Monday for bloodwork and sonogram. As they explained to me, clomid will help you to produce more follies, which will increase your chances. They will do another sonogram after you have taken it to confirm how many follies you are producing as a result of the clomid and they will also do more bloodwork. They started me on 50mg, I am wondering if they will bump me up to 100 this time. Anyway, I did have the HSG last March. It was very crampy while they were injecting the dye but once they were done, I felt fine and even went to the gym when I got home...so you should be fine afterwards, I too was dreading the test and just bit the bullet and went because I needed to get to the next step, it really wasn't all that bad. I am praying this next cycle is the one for us both too

Do people on here ever use their real names? I feel like i know so many people but have no clue LOL I guess thats the point lol Dr Stelling performed mine and he is just so funny. I asked him if i should have intercourse after and he said do you want the man version or the DR version LOL Then he said truthfully if you want yes and if you dont you dont have too. He is a great DR. Nurse Janet is my favorite. SHe is so caring. I am sure you know her.
