It's week 3 and still not getting any better (Daycare related)
Not sure if any of you remembermy original post a few weeks ago, but I started back to work full time and DS was having a very hard time adjusting to daycare. He would cry everytime I dropped him off...to the point that as soon as I pull in the sitter's driveway he was already sobbing so hard he couldnt catch his breath.
I really thought this would be a short-lived phase that would get better progressively over the weeks. It just doesnt seem to be that way. I dont think its an issue with the sitter herself, because she'll text me throughout the day to let me know he's fine and smiling. She even sends me picture messages and he always looks like he's doing great. But as soon as I drop him off...or even pick him up, he's in hysterics and latching onto me for dear life
This is my 3rd week at work and his 2 1/2 weeks of daycare (last week he only went part time because STBX took him a few days). I just dont understand why he isnt adjusting or even improving in the mornings. Any advice??

Not really, it just might take him longer to adjust. How is he with change in general?
I would say my DS is not a real go with the flow kid, and any change throws him for a loop. So I wasn't surprised that it took him awhile to warm up to daycare. He started this July at 2.5 years after being home with me the previous 2.5. I think it took him a little over a month to stop crying in the mornings. He started to make some friends which helped, and I also noticed a big difference when he was home sick for a few days. He seemed to miss his teachers and the kids when he went back.
I'm sure DC will adjust--he just may need more time.
