It's been 3.5 weeks since he is gone

It will be 4 weeks on Monday that I lost Schultz. I am having such a hard time with it, it feels like it's getting worse rather then better. I can't even think of him or look at his picture now without tears coming to my eyes.

Sunday morning I had a full out cry for about an hour. Of course, the IF drugs I'm on are not helping me.

I guess all our everyday things that we used to do together are coming up and I keep realizing how much I miss him. I still can't believe he's gone.

I understand fully.
My cat has been gone for 2 months now and just when I think I'm better, BOOM something sets me off.

I read something online the other day about sick/dying pets and just got hysterical.

I can't look at pics- but I can't bring myself to take them down. It's tough.

Definitely worse when I'm PMSing so I can't even imagine how bad you have it with the IF drugs.


It WILL get better... but it will take a long time.
I'm starting to have more good days than bad about her and starting to smile more and cry less when I think back on her...

so sorry for your loss It will take time for you to heal. Just know that he is in a good place now also.

I'm so sorry. It does get easier. Figaro has been gone for 5 months now. At first, it was so hard. I even thought I saw him a couple of times sitting on the step he was always on but then I remembered he was gone. Now, the only times I still get upset is when my 3 year old asks me how Figaro is doing. I told him that Figaro is gone and up playing in the clouds.

I completely understand how you feel. It's almost a year that our beloved Trooper passed away, and I still get emotional when I think of him.

I am so sorry you are feeling so sad. I lost my dog two years ago and I STILL get like that sometimes. Luckily in those past two years I was able to find two new dogs (one of them I just got tonight) that really helped to heal the pain, not replace but to bring a new joy into my life. Hopefully when you are ready (I was not ready 1 month post loss) you will be able to do the same!

I can't even imagine how your feeling, I don't know how I would deal if I lost my babies.

makes me cry just thinking about it.
