The past few nights I have been getting so itchy literally everywhere. I dont know what this is but its torture. I tried putting a ton of lotion on but nothing helps it. Anyone else experience this? Im 37wks+2

If it's from your skin stretching try bio oil. Lotion did absolutely nothing for me.

Itchy all over!
Nothing is working for me either. I was going to ask the midwife about it today at my appointment. (I'm 36+3 today.) I didn't have this last pregnancy, but I also didn't have any stretch marks last time.

Re: Itchy all over!
i rub baby oil on myself when i get out of the shower after i towel off and my skin is a little moist & then towel off a lil more afterward so i am not too greasy.. it's been helping & so far no stretch marks on the bump either -- 38w2d

Re: Itchy all over!
Are you still itching? Do you have any redness/rash? I don't want to scare you, because most likely it is nothing, but I developed HELLP syndrome in the last few weeks of my pregnancy with my son and had to have him induced because of it. The symptom that brought it to my doctor's attention was the itching. I itched all over, day and night. No rash, no redness. I thought it was silly to mention the itching to my doctor, but am so glad I did. Again, I don't want to scare anyone, but anything that doesn't seem right should always be mentioned to your OBGyn. Best of luck :)

Re: Itchy all over!
I agree def mention it to you dr. I had it too. I only had a rash on my belly but I was itchy all over! It was the worst.
Oatmeal baths helped and Aveno lotion with oatmeal helped also. DH would rub it in a little hard and kind of massage and that helped. Also not fully rubbing it in and letting the cool lotion sit on your skin helped.
Hang in there!

Re: Itchy all over!
I'm 29 weeks and have been itchy for about a week now. Same, all over with no relief but mostly at night when I get home from work and change my clothes and am relaxing.

Re: Itchy all over!
Sounds like you have PUPPS. I'm not sure what it stands for. I had it and it was TERRIBLE!! I felt like I rolled in poison ivy. The only cure for it is delivery. And apparently it's more common if you are carrying a boy, than a girl (which I was). I got it around 31 weeks but luckily for me (but also unlucky for my poor preemie who had a rough go) I delieverd at 32 weeks and 6 days. It got better almost immediately and within days the rash was gone. Good luck!

Re: Itchy all over!
Thank you all! It subsided for now. I have a dr appt Monday. I'll be 38 weeks. I'll see what he says then but if it happens in the next three days I'll definitely call them. Thanks again!!!
