It seems to be working
The follistim.
I had my first follow-up appointment yesterday. The ultrasound showed many follicles, with maybe 2-3 dominant ones. And I got a call yesterday saying my bloodwork is looking very, very good. No randome LH or estradiol spikes that happened with the Clomid.
I go back on Friday, and they estimate the trigger and IUI's will happen sometime next week.
I'm really liking the follistim - I'm having literally NO symptoms, unlike my experience with Clomid. And the shots really aren't that bad at all.
I can't believe I'm finally OK with needles! I'm becoming such a big girl!

Great news! Good Luck!
Didn't I tell you long ago, if it came to injections to not underestimate yourself, that you could and would do it if you had to! Knowing how you are with needles, that's a great accomplishment (which is what I tell myself every day!)

Re: It seems to be working
I had much less side effects on Follistim than I did with Clomid. The only real danger with Follistim is with cysts and OHSS which you don't usually get with Clomid.

Re: It seems to be working
Yay Beth! I'm glad you found something that's working after the Clomid disaster. I also had no side effects either from Gonal-F except an occasional low-grade headache. Good luck!
