It is so hard this early...
to be excited but not too excited about the pregnancy. I wish the 1st trimester was over already. I am not even 5 weeks yet and every day I am praying that nothing goes wrong. How did you all get through the beginning of your pregnancy? I am so scared to get too excited because of the what if's and so I am trying not to look too far into the future...but all I want to do is scream it from the rooftops that I AM PREGNANT!

I am in the EXACT same boat as you!
I'm trying to keep it low key, but I find myself telling someone new each day.
I am a mess with nerves - today I feel FINE - none of the symptoms I've had all week are here, I'm freaking out that somethng is going wrong. I don't know how I'm going to make it out of the first tri!
We'll get through it together

I'm with you too!! i'm very early and I'm trying to hold out but I tell another person each day lol I have another Beta this afternoon so i'm praying my numbers are good so i can relax. I have NO symptoms at all and i know some people dont get any, but I just want some indication that SOMETHING is going on in there!

Re: It is so hard this early...
I am in a similar boat but I am 7 weeks today. Since we had to go through IVF, I think seeing the baby & his/her heartbeat has helped me to know that I am indeed pregnant but at the same time I still do worry. My DH tries to not think too much about it until we are out of the 1st trimester.
Honestly I think the best thing is to keep a positive outlook & know that you are doing all you can

I know what you mean. I think we can all relate with what you're going through cause we've all been there. Just try and relax and take it day by day. Try not to overanalyze every little thing...no symptoms is not always a bad thing--maybe you're just one of the lucky ones. (I haven't really had any symptoms my entire pregnancy so far) And to be completely honest with you, that worry never really goes away all together. You're gonna be worrying about your child for the rest of your life. The first trimester is definitely difficult to get through though. Try and hang in there!

Unfortunately I have had a m/c so my first tri has been craaawwwllliiinngg by.
I will be 6 weeks on Saturday, and my m/c was at 8 weeks, so I think once I get past that week I will feel better.

It's hard not to worry...everyone does to some extent, but just enjoy the moment..you are pregnant!!! It's such an exciting time.
If god forbid something were to happen now, unfortunately there would be nothing you could do about it. Thats what I always told myself. Just have faith things will be ok and get through each day. It's out of your hands you know? So the best thing to do is relish the excitement

Re: It is so hard this early...
I felt the same exact way & thought, how I am going to do this for 9 months! Everytime I went to the Bathroom I was nervous, every ache & pain had me paranoid!
It does get better but the worry never goes away completely. After my 12 week sono, I felt better. I have my 20 week sono is 1 1/2 weeks & I am freaking out again!
Good luck, relax, & enjoy this wonderful time!

Re: It is so hard this early...
Don't wish it away, it's a wonderful time.
I was nervous in the beginning too, but felt much better after the first sono, when I saw the baby and the heartbeat. It is one of the biggest highs I have ever had.
Don't make yourself crazy by reading EVERYTHING either. Sometimes too much information doesn't help with the worrying. Use the information as a reference, not as what exactly can/will happen to you.

I feel the same way!
I want to shout it out to the world but I'm too scared to tell people.
There are 4 people at work who are pregnant and they're always talking about it and I'm dying to jump in!

Re: It is so hard this early...
i felt the same, but i prayed everyday. for me, that gave me some comfort. also, i really believe that whatever happens is NOT in MY control... it's God's control. so although i will be devastated if something happens to the baby, I believe that that would have been meant for me and the baby. again, just my way of coping, doesnt' work for everyone else.
also, take heart that the odds for a healthy baby are in your favor. a healthy, uneventful pregnancy is the norm. yes, of course people miscarry and have other issues, but it is not the majority.
