I never really thought about this until a friend mentioned 2 bathrooms, I grew up in a house with 2. However I can make an exception

not sure, but the house is on a street that is grey, that means a major road.

we had 5 people- 3 kids, ( 2 girls and 1 boy) plus my parents

we really only had 2.5 until a few years ago when we made the downstairs bathroom in to a full bath

and one was in my parents room- so that was for emergency use only

I don't mean to insult anyone who has 1 bathroom. I apologize if I did.

DH and I live in a 1 bedroom apt right now and have 1 bathroom. it's not working out all that well for us Chat Icon

Re: Islip Terrace - $339

We only have 1 bathroom for now (my only sacrifice in purchasing this house b/c I refused to look at anything less than 1.5 and didn't want to buy anything less than 2). But we'll dormer in 1-2 years and build the 2nd bath up there.

DH grew up in a 1.5 bath house (the 1/2 bath came much later on, while he was in HS) with 9 people - 5 of which were women Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Islip Terrace - $339

They also only had one car - a *gasp* station wagon! I still can't understand the need for an SUV when his mother transported the 9 of them in her (albeit, hugearse) station wagon.

Re: Islip Terrace - $339

It's on Connetquot Avenue (I hope I can post that....)

Don't quote me so I can edit if I get yelled at.

It's a pretty major road but nothing like Main Street. I grew up in Islip Terrace. I know the area.

the SUV is today's station wagon- it's the same thing

plus I'm sure she put them in the "way back" or the truck- which is very frowned upon today- and the modern SUV has seats back there now

Re: Islip Terrace - $339

Well everyone always makes SUCH A BIG Deal out of only having one bathroom... Like OMG how horrible... I can't believe people would buy something with one bathroom. I LOVE MY HOUSE and its Works fine with me!

My SIL BIL and their 4 kids are coming tonight and staying with us for a week and a half... Thats 8 PEOPLE in my house... So not worried about the bathroom!
