Is your 3 yr old still in a stroller?

I am trying to figure out if I will need a double stroller when baby #2 comes. Andrew will be 3 months shy of 3 yrs old.

Emily will be 3 in October.

We don't use the stroller I'd say 90% of the time with her. Usually if we go for a walk around the neighborhood or if we are at the mall, stores, etc. I will let her walk. I can trust her in most places .

However there are some times we still use it. If we are at the mall doing a LOT of shopping, or a trip to Greenport, Port Jeff, the outlets, something like that, then we need the stroller still. Especially if I am taking her by myself, without DH.

If I were having another baby now---I'd probably get the sit n stand. I'd like knowing that we had the option to push her and let her sit, if we needed it, but also like letting her revel in her independence when she wants to.

Hard to say since my first was in the sit and stand at age 2 when his sister came along. My guess is no - they just seem too big to sit in a double stroller, IMO. In your case, I would venture to say sit and stand might be a good option - he can sit buckled in, or stand (which mine never did! He always sits!).

Do you do a lot of errands?
Do you travel, go to parks, etc..? I saw quite a few kids (more than 2) in strollers at Splish Splash yesterday.

If so, you might want to consider the sit and stand (not the double though!).

Then sell it when he no longer uses it.

Almost 3 and still in a stroller for vacation, trips to the mall. Things like that.

Sarah's 3.5 and always sits in the Sit N Stand. I can't see how she'd fit in a double stroller, Andy is a big 2 year old and it's getting hard to get him into the front of the Sit N Stand.

A stroller? My DD has refused to sit in a stroller since 18 months

I tried to put her in one when she was 2 and she looked at me like I was crazy!

you can get one of the ones where they can stand on the back so if they dont want to walk anymore they can stand infron of you.. sorry dont know what they are called but have seen poeople with them at the mall

My DD was 3 in April and still sits in the double stroller sometimes but usually only when DH is pushing. I have a double peg perego Aria (side by side) and it is really hard to maneuver with both kids in it. They are 20 months apart so it was so much easier in the beginning. I would get a sit and stand.

I am getting a sit and stand plus. The one with the removable back seat. When they get too big you can take out that back seat and it's a regular sit and stand. My 2 will be 2 years, 7 months apart...

DD right now is two months shy of 3 and I cannot imagine her in a double stroller. We have a sit and stand and have used it since she was 20 mos, but she's not a stroller chick anyhow so it was perfect for us even at that age.

Anyway, I hardly even use the S and S because I put DD#2 in my Peg and DD#1 walks 90% of the time. If by chance we are doing something requiring a lot of walking (for ex. we went to Philly this past Spring) we put her in an umbrella stroller.

Maya will be 3 on Monday and yes, she NEEDS to be in a stroller because she is quite the wild and crazy child. She actually sits in it willingly, thankfully. The few times I have let her just hold my hand in the store have been nightmares. I might keep using the stroller until she's 13 actually .

I think it depends on the child, as far as whether or not they will needs a stroller at age 3.

My son is 3yrs old and does not sit in the stroller. He would however if going for a long walk but just a walk around the block or in the mall he doesn't want anything to do with it.

we dont use the stroller anymore because bryan is over 40 lbs and too big for it.

I got a double to use when we go for walks or when we go away and go to parks and stuff, but when I'm out and just running to a few stores I use the universal stroller and Julia will just walk next to me or hold onto the bar of the stroller.

I never really use my double, but if good to have just incase.

My daughter loves her stroller. Before my son was born we rarely used it. Now she gets pizzed if I only take the single stroller. I have a sit and stand as well as a double that I got as a handy me down. I haven't tried the double yet but I wanted it incase we went somewhere and she need to relax more comfortably than she could with the sit and stand.

If you can get on cheap ( I got my sit and stand on clearance in target for $60)then I would invest in one.

Julia was 20 months when my second DD came along and if I could do it all over again - i would probably get a sit and stand.

I got the Peg Perego Aria - double stroller - which is great - but everytime she goes out - she wants to get out of it and has yet to take a nap in it - just from my experience.

DS will barel ever sit in one (only if he's tired) he just walks most of the time
