Is using vrbo.com safe?
Do you sign a contract for the house? My parents are paranoid that they are going to pay for the house and then it will be different than the pictures or the people will double book weeks. Any reviews of the site?

I've used the site with no problems. I did have to sign a rental contract. The unit was just like the photos.

Is using vrbo.com safe?
I have used it twice. For like $39, you can also buy insurance which protects you in case of the things you are afraid of. Insurance is through VRBO.

I've used vrbo and sites like it. I've never had a problem. The house is always as shown.

I used it for a shore rental with no problems. We did sign a contract. I was definitely nervous though! I googled the rental owners, and they seemed like a legit people.

I've used it 3 times for rentals & never had an issue, & was often better than photoed.

We used it in April for a place in Captiva Island. The pictures were perfect and we did sign a contract.
