Is this so terrible?
Just curious....
When I had my DD, I purchased a few sleep sacks. The first one I got was pink b/c I was all excited to have a girl to shop for. When I got another I purchased yellow, with the idea of using it with another child who might not be a girl.
I have another child after and its a boy. So Ive been using the yellow sleep sack. But when its in the wash, I put the pink one on him. My DH acted like I was taking him out in public in a dress!!!
Seriously...what is so horrid about this? He acts like Im the only person who would ever consider doing this. I hate to purchase new things when I have something already, esp something like this.

Re: Is this so terrible?
Lol...my husband would prob act the same way!
How about bleaching the sleep sack so then you still have it around but don't make DH mad? Just a thought..
But to answer your question, no i don't think its so terrible. Its inside your house, its serving the purpose of keeping your baby warm and hey..lots of guys wear pink these days anyway!

I dont think it is a big deal. My DH would probably react the same way but I would ignore it, lol

Re: Is this so terrible?
I think he gets madder because I unconciously call the baby "Pinky" when I get him out of the crib in the AM when hes wearing it. Men and their machismo

Re: Is this so terrible?
We dress our DD in our DS's blue hand-me downs. I know it's different when girls wear blue, but we try to just do it inside the house. Clothes are clothes. Tell you DH he's going colorblind. It looks likea very masculine burgandy to you... :)
One thing I find annoying is when people see my DD in a pink outfit, with a pink blanket, and pink pacifier, but ask if she's a boy, just because she's in a blue infant car seat. Don't you think the daily clothes are a better indicator than the safety device?

Tell him pink is the new black. LOL. Ryan has a pink paci that I joke about taking him out in public with it - but ya know what it does the trick and who cares what color it is!!

Re: Is this so terrible?
Since my mom watches my sister's baby too Justin is always taking, using, sporting something that is pink while they are in my mom's house. It really is no big deals. Guys are supersensitive about that color for some reason!

Color is assigned a gender by our society. A child has no idea. Men

Re: Is this so terrible?
I dont think it is a big deal since it is in the house. My nephew will often be sporting something pink, like a blanket or socks, as a hand me down from his sister or cousin.

Re: Is this so terrible?
It's nighttime. The baby doens't care. He won't end up wanting to cross dress because of it. Your DH should chill out

Re: Is this so terrible?
I do stuff like that all the time. We have a very nice knitted pink blanket and I put it on him all the time. Its no big deal.

Re: Is this so terrible?
Andy uses Sarah's old pink bottle everyday. Only in the house, but DH agreed it was crazy to not use it just b/c of the color.
