Is this normal?
I am in the process of buying a home and my mortgage processor keeps asking me for copied of items that I have already provide my broker. The broker says he sent the processor everything he has yet as a condition to my mortgage commitment some of these items are on the list...Is it normal for the bank to ask for multiple copies of tax returns for the same years, etc.?
I am so fed up with this entire process!

In my experience, yes, it was normal. Sometimes I even gave the same person the same document twice! I was so over it by the time we closed.

Very normal for a lot of lenders, esp. the big commercial banks. Unfortunately, the bank has what you need (the $$), so I would just say be as nice and cooperative as possible (as annoying and frustrating as it is). There is an endpoint, and it will all be worth it when you are in your new home!

When we bought our house, that didn't happen.
However, when we refinanced, we sent at least five copies of everything over. They kept telling us they lost them.

I am hoping this ends soon! We got our commitment on Friday and I have a list of items (many I have already provided) necessary for our clear to close. I cannot wait until this is done. Now the sellers' want to delay closing...they pushed us to get a commitment ASAP now they want to delay.

We had to fax and email documents to our lender I think almost daily for months
It was so damn frustrating

took me 8 months to close. i kept faxing over the same documents every few weeks. i even broke down and cried a few times out of frustration. its all worth it in the end but you have to be patient

Same here. We used a mortgage broker when we bought the house and he was very organized. The refi was directly through Bank of America and they can't keep track of anything! I had to send copies of everything multiple times
