Is this a dumb idea?
Booking makeup for an afternoon birthday party at a resturant (my birthday party).
The background:
Last Sat afternoon I had a mishap with my car door, and I have a bruise and abrasion under my eye. It's pretty bad right now. My concealer (which is the only makeup I use usually) doesn't fully cover it.
Would a makeup artist be able to cover it with foundation and concealer? And just do light eyeshadow and lipstick. Is this a good idea or too much? Am I being too vain?
Thoughts? I figure I can always cancel if it heals by Saturday.

It's your b-day party?
I say go for it! I always feel sexier when I have my MU done. I'm having mine done for my baby shower.

Yes, mine along with my MIL (joint party). It's at 2pm, so not prime makeup time, but I still feel self conscious about the bruise. And I'm not so skilled with makeup, so all I do is glop on concealer and it still shows through.

Re: Is this a dumb idea?
Even if I didn't have the bruise I would get my MU done for my B-Day party. Even though I'm pretty good at my own MU, I'm no makeup ARTIST and I love, love, love getting it done.
Do it!
