Is someone DH a boat mechanic?
I believe that someone's DH was a boat mechanic or in the boating industry.
Can you FM me? I have a question. Thanks!

I dont know a mechanic, but if you need a part, maybe you can call West Marine and they can recommend someone for you.
I know there are some in Freeport, but do not know any company names?

If you want to FM your question, I can ask my dad. He isn't a boat mechanic, but has rebuilt a few antique boats as a hobby & knows a lot.
He also loves West Marine.

my DH has rebuilt 4 boats from junk into really great boats. What are you looking for?
He likes Compass Rose Marine Supply in Huntington Village, or Freeport Marine Supply (he tolerates West marine, but would rather support 'the little guy', since his dad used to be one of the little guys).
Boaters World is decent too - and they usually have good specials on their web site.

DH has a 1998 Four Winns Liberator - he needs a new muffler. It is a cylinder, he has looked online and has not been able to find it anywhere.

I'll ask DH later tonight.
Has he checked E-Bay? Or call some of the suppliers on E-Bay - they can usually point you in the right direction.
I know there's a place in Patchpgue that is a 'junk yard' for marine mechanics. DH has gotten stuff from there on occasion - especially the hard-to-find older replacement parts.
Again - I'll ask him later for some advice for you.
