Is it me or would you be "ANNOYED"
ok -FMIL and I have "issues" started when i had my daughter (her 1st grandchild) she would pick her up and bring her back in different clothes never give me her clothes back and make comments like o i bought her something that fit her!!!! first of all i have 4 other kids i think i know how to take care of a baby!!!!!! anyway i relocated to li last year and have no family or friends here. We go over there house for every holiday and to be honest i hate it she is the worst cook ever and I am always the one who ends up cleaning up after. Not to mention i have 5 kids to lug around and am expecting #6 !!! and its always an issue at her house what my kids are doing or touching. So Fh suggested that we have thanksgiving at our house this year..which she was not to thrilled about i could tell. That is what i cant stand she acts all sweet and then takes digs at me say what the hell you wanna say lady!!!! so anyway she came over yesterday and commented on how she ordered 2 turkeys and stuffing so she can make hers at home plus mentioned a few other things she was making, im sorry but i said to Fh why am i breaking my @ss if she is cooking at home because she assumes my thanksgiving is not going to be acceptable...am i wrong???? im sorry but i was offended and i think she is so ignorant!!!! IS IT ME???? are these preggo hormones out of control or do i have a ligit gripe???
SORRY SO LONG needed to vent!

I would thank her for her concern- but this year Thanksgiving is all on you. Tell her the kids are so looking forward to having the turkey at your house. If she wants to help, she can bring a desert.
She sounds like a ******- but she is DH's mom and you have to deal with her. If she gives you a hard time tell her that when she hosts a holiday, you don't bring food over- its very rude.
She sounds like the mom from Everyone Love Raymonds.

 OMG MY FRIEND CALLS ME DEBRA AND HER MARIE!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!! you got it !!!!she is a B@@@h!!! she is the martyr and i cant take it!! her digs at me- one day i am going to flip i swear!!! If you have a problem say it dont act all sweet she puts on such a show for her family- then is a b***h to me i see right through her and i think that is why we dont get along!

OMG I would be so annoyed! Tell her eat her yucky turkey at home and come to your house for dessert.
Seriously though, someone has to tell her that YOU are cooking this year - and its HER turn to be a guest and relax - oh and clean everything up after dinner LOL
She sounds like a  and even worse bc she can't cook (I can soooo relate).
My MIL brought over some kind of antipasta salad on a platter WRAPPED IN HER BATH TOWEL!!! I am not kidding...

YES!!!! I swear, I couldnt make some of the stuff up if I tried. Her USED BATH towel - it was so gross. I told DH "dont you dare eat that!!!" and he did and he got SO SICK that night.

Im gald im not alone!!!
Oh God don't I know it!! He thinks I over react all the time. Yet every time we go to his parents house we have to either bring plastic dishes, cups and silverware OR spend forever washing everything at their house by hand before we use it because its SOOO dirty and has food stuck all over it. Oh but we have to bring a SPONGE because she only uses paper towels to wash dishes!!
Dont even get me going about how I'd rather pee in the bushes outside than the bathroom.

Wow, I have to say that sounds EXACTLY like an episode of Everybody Love Raymond! 
WHY is she cooking TWO turkeys if YOU are hosting thanksgiving??
Unless it's that you are hosting sooo many people that you can't possibly cook all that food in your house alone, so she wants to be a sweetheart and help out. Somehow I'm thinking that's not the reason!
I would be very annoyed!! But hey, at least she's not a good cook like you said, so it's not like she can upstage you!!

lol see his family thinks they r the friggin cleavers that they are the best family . and the only right way of doing anything is their way!!!!!!!!!!! they are so disfunctional but dont see it it drives me crazy ...my family is also but we know it!!!!!!!!! lol and the fact that FH calls her MOMMY gos right through me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my son is 10 and dosent call me mommy!!!!

LOL LOL plus they buy prmade stuffing and i had it last year and it is nasty!!!!! so i said i will make homemade my moms recipe and she said o well its our tradition so i am going to still oreder it, whatever!!!!!!
