Is anyone freaking starving all the time??????
I am newly pg (about 5.5 weeks) and I am constantly hungry. Like even after eating a steak! A big meal will hold me maybe for 2 hours - but otherwise I have a constant hunger ache.
Anybody have any snacks or meals that seem to satiate the hunger?

You will definitely find that you are more hungry now. You will probably find it beneficial to spread your meals out. Have smaller portions more frequently throughout the day. Stuff high in fiber usually keeps you full longer. HTH!

In the beginning I was always hungry. Nothing seemed to satisfy me. It does slow down though. Now I am 29 weeks and don't eat as much as I use to.

Yes, I just woke up with hunger pains and am eating a big bowl of cheerios and bran flakes. This is also because I get sick every night so I never keep my dinners down. Every night I wake up at about 2 and have dipsy doodles and thant works wonders for my hunger and my nausea.

I remember until about 11 weeks or so I was sooo hungry - I ate like a pig and was always hungry.

I was starving all the time in my first trimester - I felt like a bottomless pit. I just ate whatever I felt in the mood for - there were so many things that the thought of them made me nauseous, so whatever I could stomach, I ate. I did keep crackers in my desk, my car, etc. and those always helped. Always keep food on hand - carry granola bars in your bag at all times too.

I am almost 39 weeks prego and still trying to find a meal that holds me over for more than an hour or two! Ive been hungry since the day I found out I was pregnant!
Some woman do say this goes away after the first trimester. it didnt for me though.

when I past my M/S.....I was so hungry I ate so much, but now that Im bigger I find Im NOT as hungry and fill up very quickly

This happened to me (and is still happening, on occassion at 17 weeks). I found milk and cheese to be filling, but mostly I tried to skip large meals and just eat snacks (trying to keep them healthy ...) every few hours. Frankly, this is the symptom that I hated the most, b/c I'm usually not a big eater and was never a big snacker before.
