Is anyone elses DH being "difficult"??
DH feels like this is a job and he gets annoyed with me sometimes. I know he really wants this as much as I do, but he's like "if it happens it happens".
My feeling is that I'm spending all this money on tests, preseed, thermometers, and doing all this reading and waking up early everyday to take my stupid temp and checking my CM--which I HATE!! All I'm asking is that he does his job when I need him!!!!
I don't like BDing. The whole no saliva thing is a bit of a damper. He feels the same way. Sorry TMI
This is like a wedding!!! I do all the planning and he just gets to show-up!!!
Am I the only one???

Tell me about it. I tried to teach DH the reasons for the things I do and he wants no part in it. He doesn't realize how timing is everything.

They spend so much of their time AVOIDING pregnancy, that they think if you don't avoid it, it will happen!!!
Im waiting for this with my DH , so I am 'preping' him 3 months early!!!!

Guys I have gotten pregnant twice with saliva involved(I had 2 m/c but it had nothing to do with saliva) You can use saliva-it may be unfriendly to sperm bvut you know how many of those are released? millions! I've also gotten pregnant with KY-you can also use pre-seed

Re: Is anyone elses DH being "difficult"??
MY DH was like that. He didnt want me doing OPK's or testing or anything. He wanted things to happen naturally. So i let it happened naturally and it did. I think that men just dont want the pressure of making a baby it kinda scares them a little.

Its all for the greater good.
I personally have no idea what you are referring to... why isnt there any saliva? I am not TTCing yet, I will be starting after this AF cycle. I plan on doing it naturally for 4 months then look into OPK's, etc.

lots of books say that saliva is an inhospitable environment for sperm, thereby limiting a number of (highly enjoyable) BD-related things
but... now that i'm typing it out, it does sound kind of ridiculous, doesn't it? i think i'm going to disregard that "rule" for now

Re: Is anyone elses DH being "difficult"??
i never thought my DH would be difficult, b/c he was ready to have a baby practically before we were married, but now, I do see that he's getting annoyed. Two close friends who are currently PG offered me TCOYF and he didn't want me to take the book---I guess he just wants to be totally natural and non-scientific about the process, but sometimes you need some extra help. I am big on scheduling, so I guess he doesn't want my calendar to say BD time in it.

Re: Is anyone elses DH being "difficult"??
I just talked to my girlfriend and they were trying for a year, but she was only charting for the two last months. She was just guessing when she O'd and didn't really keep track. Once she started to temp she got preggo.
I just feel like I will do anything possible to better my chances. But those things can be annoying.
