Is anyone else scared to get your credit card bill
Wow..I tried to stay in a budget..but didn't stick to it..and since the holidays are over..now I am starting to worry

I check my balance constantly online so I know how much the bill is going to be and boy is it a big one, we will get lots of reward cards!!

We do a christmas club every year so we don't have to use the credit cards. Otherwise I would also be sick to my stomach waiting for the bill to arrive

i used cash for most of everything and didn't shop that much for anything for my home or myself this season, so my bill should be a lot lower.

what's this?
Every week we have $20 automatically placed into a holiday savings account through our bank. Than in October we receive the payout. You don't receive any interest on it, it's just an easy way to save for the holidays.

I'm not worried, DH and I are pretty good at sticking to a budget - the car payment we are going to be taking on is what I'm not looking forward too - it's so nice not to have a car payment! but DHs Jeep is starting to be an issue ...so car payment here we come

No, we spread our shopping out over the last 6 months, so we get our last bill next month and it should be pretty low, and then we'll be done with credit bills for a while!

A little, but I only charged about $500. Most of my Christmas money came from money I made on ebay, which def. helped out!!

1) We used a couple of different cards to psych oursevles into thinking it's not THAT much money. (Doesn't work by the way)
2) I've been checking my statements online, so the one big shock after Christmas has been reduced to a constant stinging the past few weeks.
No worries though. If we didnt buy it for the holidays, we would have bought it for ourselves eventually.

same here. but we use the AmEx for shopping to get cash back. i will still hate opening that bill!
