Is anyone else...

... just planning on BDing and seeing what happens?! After lurking on this board for a couple of weeks, it seems like most of you do the charting, temp taking, ovulation tests, etc... am I the only one who isn't interested in doing all that?

That being said, DH and I haven't started TTC yet, but we're planning to in the fall. Just asking the question b/c prior to coming to this board, I had never heard of most of these techniques or tests! I thought people just did the BD and crossed their fingers! LOL Maybe I'll be singing a different tune in a few months if nothing's happening.

I think that is a good idea. A lot of people start out just BD'ing and then if nothing happens after a few months will start to use other things like tempting, OPK, etc. You should be able to tell my your EWCM, so you won't have to use all those other tests.

Personally, I found all the testing very stressful. I was using Ovulation tests every month for 3 month. However, my cycles varied and I ovulate later than normal. The process stressed me out and I was never relaxed.

My 4th month of trying was the Month I did not use any testing and just BD every other day and then 4 days in a row when I thought i was near or at ovulation. And now I have my BFP. I def think that being more relaxed this past month and not testing- helped me!

I'm there, the same as you. Right now me & Dh are just having a good time with it I'm not really charting or paying too close attention to when I ovulate. If it happens, it happens. If not - we'll just have to try harder. Basically we agreed to "really" start trying in a few more months. So if I'm not pregnant by that point then I'll probably begin charting and such more religiously. But for now we're jut trying to relax.

I am just paying attention to around when I "o". Due to work, we can go for weeks without even being awake in the same room LOL so we have to make somewhat of an effort. But I am just counting days - nothing more serious, and hopefully I won't have to go any further. But, if I do - I like to learn s much as possible before hand

I know what you mean though - it gives me anxiety! so we will have fun for now and see what happens!

I get stressed too easily to use OPKs and temp. I'm just paying attention to my CM and we're BDing every other day. If we go 3 months with nothing, I'll probably reconsider the OPKs and temping.

dh and i were planning on just bding... but since AF decided not to come back since going off BCP in may i feel like we lost some time and i need to pay more attention to my cycles and make sure im actually ovulating.

We plan on BDing and just being aware of ovulation. Keeping our fingers crossed! If we don't get pregnant this fall, then we'll start temping and charting.

We are planing to start TTC after we move, and DH graduates from his police academy in December. I am so excited. We are going to just BD for a while and see what happens. If after a year nothing then we will be more specific with charting etc.. We are both young (25) so we have some time to play with.

i actually went off BCP in the fall of last year and have been tempting to avoid pregnancy till we're ready to do so. so far so good!
