Is amazon prime worth it?
For $50, I would have joined in a heartbeat but $100 steams a bit steep. I am usually fine waiting the extra week or so for my order but lately I am finding myself wishing/needing the things I order would arrive much sooner. Is it worth it? With prime, do you get your order the next day?

2 days is the norm. Absolutely worth it for me. I order through amazon all the time just for the free fast shipping. Plus all the free movies you can stream and free music I can download on my phone

i paid $75 last year and totally worth it!!! i no longer have to wait until i have $35 in my cart. i can literally buy something for $2 and get it in 2 days. plus it comes with amazon music. its like pandora without the commercials. it comes in handy when i forget my son has a birthday party to go to and i need a gift quick without running to the store.

I love prime too. I had it when I got it free as a student! I am ALWAYS on Amazon. Plus I use prime pantry and I have a ton of subscribe and save items. I also do most of my Christmas shopping online so that comes from Amazon as well. I personally think it is worth it and we definitely get our money's worth

Ps: you can share it with someone to justify the cost! I share with my MIL. All they have to do is send you a special email invitation of i remember correctly.

Re: Is amazon prime worth it?
I personally don't have it for the following reasons:
1) I've had some issues with amazon in the last 2 years and I did not find their customer svc as helpful as everyone claims. I didn't even get any responses back regarding one issue despite several attempts to get a hold of them! So I refuse to give them more $$ for a service
2) I personally would not take advantage of the book/music/movie perks so I'd just be paying for the shipping luxury
3) if I need something last-minute, well, I live in the burbs and not the middle of nowhere for a reason. I can just run to a store. Or get it through diapers.com, and if I pay more, it still comes out less than the $99 for a year I'd be paying with prime. I'm also a B&N member for $25/year and their stuff usually gets to me in 2-3 days if I need a last-minute gift.

This! But right now we share the same account with three of us because you can put all addresses on and different forms of payment. So worth it at that price!

I'm surprised about your customer service experience. I have had to contact them a few times and it was really easy - you put in a number for them to call you, and they called me immediately. Maybe try phone instead of email. They were good with my one email too though.

I made it worth it by cancelling my Netflix to use Amazon prime instant video. I love the convenience of 2 day shipping and use it all the time, but I could get by without it.

I love it. Amazon is the best when you have small kids. Anything I need I get within two days! Plus I have gotten my money's worth of free music.

Re: Is amazon prime worth it?
We use it all the time. Its a savior when we have birthday gifts to order that we need by a certain date (last minute!) or if I don't want to wait for something. If we can wait, I decline the 2 day shipping in exchange for a perk -- used to be $1 toward digital music (which I never use but my DH would) and now its $5 toward amazon pantry.
So, I'll order cat food ($11 a case) and place 5 orders, delay them all to no rush shipping and get $25 toward amazon pantry! I hope this perk sticks around because it's awesome!
We also love amazon photo and occasionally use the movie thing.

You don't have to do that, actually! They can share your prime account as co-users and have their own separate log in with their own email address attached to it.

Re: Is amazon prime worth it?
I love Prime! According to our ups guy we are amazons number 1 customers! We use amazon for a lot of the staples in our house. I always check amazon before i buy anything and its almost always the cheapest With prime I get it next day or in 2 days depending on the item. I wouldn't be without it.
ETA- We also have amazon fire tv and having a prime membership is worth it for just that. All the prime music you can listen to for free, plus a lot of shows we watch and most of what my kids watch is all free, and you get photo storage.

Can you get free shipping to other addresses? I share with my sister, but I send everything to her! Would be nice to ship to myself!!

We love it! I'm sure I save at least 100 a year just by not going in to a store when I need something since I'd walk out with a hundred extra in stuff on one trip to target! We love subscribe and save too!
I recently had issues with two items in my subscribe and save shipment and both were refunded easily even though they were minor issues.
