My son was 8lb 12 oz, and I never heard that he was big. He seemed pretty average to me lol! The 8 lb range always seemed normal to me

My DS was 5.13 but was 6 weeks early. My DD was 8.8 but came at 39 weeks. Everyone said that if my son was on time he would have been over 9. At 26 weeks my 3rd baby is already 2.4 supposedly but I don't believe the growth sono weights till they are born. I think 8 pound is average and not big. I was over 9 pounds and everyone said that was big. Everyone has an opinion.

People love to say things. My son was 6 lb 14 oz and I was constantly being told how small that is. Meanwhile 8 is so big, lol. People talk just to talk, don't even know wth they're saying

I would consider that average but my kids were 9.8 and 9.10 so my idea of average may be skewed

I consider 8 plus big or above average.
But it's all perception for some. For example avg baby in our family is 6lbs. My sister was sick during her first pregnancy so my niece was an itty bitty thing at 5lbs 14oz. So when my second niece was born we thought she was huge but she was only 7lbs few oz, she just seemed so much bigger compared to her sister. Lol
