iphone... shattered screen
My iphone dropped today and the entire screen shattered. Does anyone know if the apple store can fix this or if i will need to replace the phone? wondering how much it would cost to replace if possible.

One of those phone fixing places in the city wanted like $130 if I remember correctly. The phone was still usable so I was just going to suck it up until I was due for an upgrade in a few months.
However, the IT guy at my office said he could fix it if I ordered the screen from ebay. It was only $6 total and he fixed it for me!
another coworker said she fixed it for her husband by also ordering a screen and following steps on a youtube video! I'm not that brave lol

Just to let everyone know, I went to Apple and they said it would be $199 to replace the phone. My husband said he could easily fix it for me by just buying a screen and replacing it, but the tech said once you do that it is considered tampering and if anything else ever goes wrong they wont be able to help you. So I sucked it up and had to get the new replacement. I also purchased 2 year protection for like another $50. They said you get 2 instances where breakage could be your fault and then replacement phone is only $49. So I walked out of there spending $260 with tax, and then bought a $30 hard case ... turned into a $300 day!

Not sure where u are located but my boss breaks his phone at least once a month ...look up CPR there is one in amittyville. Cell phone repair .

My husband has fixed my screen 7 times  I've managed to break it over and over again. I take my case off for whatever reason and Voila! broken screen.
He buys replacement screenss that are $10 and has it done in 20 minutes.
