Iphone ?... anyone have this problem?
If I have my phone on "vibrate" like all day at work or for an extended period of time, and then I flip the switch back to volume, it doesnt make noise until I turn it on and turn it back off.
I've tried checking the sound settings and putting the volume all the way up....but nothin.
I feel like it is sort of a stupid thing to bring it in for, but it is annoying to have to shut it off and on everytime I want sound back.

It doesnt make.. Noise when you switch it? To show it is on ring now? (i get no sound for this)
Or do you mean your entire phone wont make sound? This does not happen to me

Re: Iphone ?... anyone have this problem?
The phone makes no noise to let me know it is on ring (which is stupid because it vibrates to let you know it is on silent). However if it isn't then ringing or making any other sounds, like when you lock/unlock it, then yeah I would bring it in.

It doesn't make noise when I flip the switch but I do not have to turn the phone off and back on for the sounds to start working

Right. I turn on th sound and when I get txts, emails, calls etc it still just vibrates until I turn it on and then off again.

After turning it from vibrate to sound it wont make a sound until you get a text, call, email etc.. It doesn't chime or anything when you flip it from vibrate to sound.

That's an issue. I would take it to Apple.

Hmmm, sorry but you might need to bring it in. i just tested mine by calling it on vibrate and then flipping to ringer, and it rang without having to turn it off in between.

Re: Iphone ?... anyone have this problem?
FYI - you can only bring the phone to Apple if you purchased it there. They have to have it in their system (in most cases) to work on it.

I brought it to verizon for something a few days after I got it and they sent me to Apple bc they had no clue what to do with it. LOL.

Re: Iphone ?... anyone have this problem?
you can call apple too and they will try and troubleshoot it over the phone with you.. otherwise just go to any apple..
it shouldn't be doing that.
let me ask you something. how are you turning it from silent to ringer?
I only use the side switch to flip it on and off..

Do you have the volume turned up all the way? If it's on ring but the volume is off it won't make any noise. I learned this with my alarm
