Invalid test result

Ugh I am so annoyed. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow to discuss what is going on with me....I havent had my AF for 3 months and I am actively TTCing since 8/1
I have been testing with BFNs. I just wanted to test this morning with first response gold ($$$) to et a definite yes no so I can tell her tomorrow a def no or yes.....i take FMU so it is the strongest to detect anything....and I get a ? which means invalid...so now i need to get more to retest....I think they throw some invalid in the batch so people will have to buy more argh! does it have to be your FMU or can it be urine anytime of the day....should i hold it in all day? then test or wait til tomorrow moring which i kinda dont wanna do.....what would you do go get a new test and test today or test tomorrow morning?

I think you can still test even without FMU. FMU is probably best when you are testing 3-5 days before AF is due. I would get another and just try to hold it in for a while so your urine is pretty concentrated.
