Introducing eggs

All of my friends said they started with only the yolk and they were told no egg whites. I've seen that as well online.

Dd's pedi said I could do the whole egg, no problem.

So what's correct?

Edit. Dd is 9 months if that makes a diff.

Introducing eggs

I used the whole egg, starting at about 12 months. Sometimes she likes it, sometimes she doesn't.

I was told the same as you, the whole egg was okay at 9 months. It took some time for her to like them but now she eats them very often.

Re: Introducing eggs

The right answer is to do what you want lol.

One ped in our office said 9 mo, another said 12 mo. We did it at 9 mo. Whole egg as scrambled eggs.

Whatever you want. I did whole egg. Because if he was allergic I would have kept him away from eggs so which part didn't matter to me.

Re: Introducing eggs

There's no history of an egg allergy so I just tried the whole egg with DS. I think he was around 8 months old? I can't remember....but don't think about it so much. Just try it!
