Introducing a sippy cup
I started this with DD who is 7 1/2 months but she is only using it as a teether. I tried it myself to see how easy it is to get water out of it, and I had to suck pretty hard...when/how did your DC figure out how to get the liquid out and use it the right way?
I bought the playtex ones with the handles.

Re: Introducing a sippy cup
yes i have tried the same thing a few days ago, now its sitting in the shelf, he had no interest i was actually holding the cup for him trying to get him to drink, he is also 7.5 months, maybe i will give him a couple more weeks.
does your dd hold her bottle to drink???, my ds has not started that yet, so i guess he needs to drink the bottle independently before he starts drinking out of the sippy cup

No she doesn't hold the bottle she tries to, but the born free are wide and awkward so I am not too surprised about that..

Re: Introducing a sippy cup
I started introducing the cup to my DD when she was around 6 months and she had no interest in it either. it was only around 11 months that she started to try more and a couple weeks after she was able to drink from it. it took her a while.

Re: Introducing a sippy cup
I introduced a training sippy cup to my DS, he is 5.5 months old over the weekend and he did well. I used thinkbaby brand. On the other hand, the muchin brand was not so great, plus it spilled.
