Intro and Questions
Hey Girls!! My dh and I have been trying for almost 9 months. At what point is it ok to call an RE? We have one dc who is 2 and it only took 5 cycles to get prego. I'm at the point in which i want some bloodwork done and for my Dh to get tested as well. I feel like im ok b/c im a 28 day cycle and I always get my + but after month after month of negatives I'm at a loss.
My friend told me about Long Island IVF in Lake Success. Anyone have experience with them and if so which dr?
Also please tell me what the first appointment would be like?
Thank You !

Re: Intro and Questions
Your first appt will be a work up with bloodwork and a vaginal sonogram to evaluate your uterus and ovaries. You will also have bloodwork on cd 3 to test your hormone levels and possibly an hsg for your tubes.
They will prob ask.your DH for a sample as well. That.we did first bc o wanted to rule him out. My re practice has their own urologist right on site for male factor.
Def go when you feel you have tried for many months w no success.

Intro and Questions
Follow your gut- when you think it's time to go, it's time to go. There really is no "time limit" before you go to an RE. It's the best decision to go there- don't waste any more time!
