Re: interviewing pediatricians
Why would someone think this is nuts ?? I interviewed peds when I was pg with my DS. You are choosing the person who will be taking care of your child. DEFINITELY interview!

Re: interviewing pediatricians
Im not interviewing only because Im using the pediatrician who took care of me when I was younger. We stopped using him before I was 18 only because he didn't take my parents new insurance, but if I wasn't using him I would definitely interview since i know nothing about any of this!

Re: interviewing pediatricians
I just came back from my interview and am happy because now I can put a name with a face and understand a little more about his practice.

Re: interviewing pediatricians
I didn't interview. We went off a reccomendation from close friends with 2 DD's and so far we've been happy with the practice.

Re: interviewing pediatricians
I called a place in Bellmore because I heard they were great and they invited us in for an initial meeting/interview. I thought it was really nice.

Re: interviewing pediatricians
we interviewed. i felt much better after we did...we only saw 2 but i was SO happy with the one we decided on, and did not care for the practice of the one we didn't go with. if i had chosen blindly, i would have went w the other one b/c i was favoring her before we interviewed...so i was relieved that we made the decision to interview!

Re: interviewing pediatricians
I didn't b/c I am a ped dietitian and no most of the peds from the hospital. I love my ped...she is the best (and voted the best of long island for 2012)...Dr. Rubin in Mineola.
Anyway..I would interview them...you want someone who jives with you...

Re: interviewing pediatricians
I did and would recommend doing so. I actually was planning on interviewing a few different practices but fell in love with the first doctor I met (Dr. Elissa Rubin in Mineola) and cancelled my other appointments.
