Someone who looks up information about a person (as much as they can get) and using it to weasel his/her way into the person's life, or doing creepy things like watching the person's home or place of work.
ETA: e-mail and phone contact may be involved too.

That's creepy as hell.
I admit- I was able to learn a lot about DH after he gave me his number, but it was just so that I could make sure that he was who he said he was. I never told him and probably never will, because he may have found it weird.

I guess it both applies to internet stalking. A person can find someone's posts and go on them to disagree or just to "start" with them.
On a side note, how are you feeling? Havent seen you in a while

Aww you are sweet, thank you for asking.
We go in for an ultra sound on Friday  Work has been kicking my butt, my parents were in town staying with us, I have morning sickness and I am exhausted.
In other words, I couldn't be better!

Yes - I think that's stalking, stalking.
Internet stalking to me is stalking or harassing another person through the Internet, e-mail or other electronic devices (cell phones, blackberries) and sending threatening or damaging messages to someone through those devices.
It may lead to a face to face confrontation if not stopped early on.
Earlier this year when a poster on this board found my personal email address and used it to send hurtful messages to me, I considered that Internet Stalking.

It was just a difference of opinion I had with some people on a "touchy" subject and it got a little out of hand.

Deb I didnt. I havent. I wished you well via another LIF when I found out you were PG because despite our differences and disagreements, I was genuinely happy that you finally had a sticky BFP.
We dont have to love each other or even like eahc other, but I was very happy when I found out.

I find it funny and hard to believe that someone who had such hateful and mean things to say to me could be "genuinly happy". All I have asked since our disagreement is for you to leave me alone and stay away. Why is that so difficult? I never "slammed" you when you sent the well wishes, I simply asked you to conform to the arrangement already made.

To answer the original question, I think my definition is similar to what other people said, but I think what someone else defined as "regular stalking" is internet stalking when one can only get that info from the internet. Some personal info you can get from the phone book, or an alumni directory, or the newspaper. I think when you start searching for everything you possibly can on a person and then use that to harass them, online or off, that to me is internet stalking.

I'm glad that you can say "its over" because you say its over. You words deeply hurt me and still do to this day. Pardon me for not being over it because you said so.
Most times an apology helps me "get over" things.

I meant it is over for me because I dont hold grudges. I am sorry for the things that I said that night that hurt you. I was angry, not that thats any excuse, but I was really angry that night. After I calmed down I felt bad that the whole thing even happened especially since you had helped me so much with TTC issues.
I was not fully at blame - but I will take the blame for my share of it.
I did try to FM you a few times to tell you that I felt badly about what happened, but I wasnt able to.
