Interior design question- advice

I am moving and am planning out how I want to decorate. I absolutely love the Fixer Upper farmhouse style (barn doors, shiplap etc.) BUT I also love the coastal/beachy look. SO my question is. Can I decorate different rooms in different design styles or do you think a house needs to be one cohesive style? TIA!

Different. Those styles compliment each other anyway.

Anything goes. It's your house...do what YOU like and don't worry about any "rules". Rules like that are totally outdated anyway

There are a lot of similarities to those looks. Have you been on Houzz?

Thanks ladies. I have heard of it but haven't explored. Maybe I will now!

I know lots of people will say it's your house and your rules- and surely, it is.. but in my opinion I just prefer when a house is consistent in style throughout. We did a lot of fun design work in my house and Houzz we a big inspiration.
