interfaith families, need help.

My neighbors are an interfaith couple (he's Catholic, she Jewish). They have a little girl and conceived twins via IVF due in March. I just rang her bell and her Mom answered the door, the poor girl lost both babies. DH & I want to send something, but dont know what. Any suggestions?

Oh, how awful.

What about something like an edible arrangement? I'm sure that they will have people around to help with the little girl and then they'll have something to pick on or give the dd for a snack without having to think too much.

I would send food to be safe and a generic sympathy card.

oh gosh thats horrible and so sad. my prayers are with them. if it were me, i'd send a floral arrangement and sympathy card. you can find non religious ones at target/walmart/cvs. i think anything letting them know you're thinking about them would be greatly appreciated.

I would send food over, but I would make it something freezable. That way if they have to much food at first they can save it for a few weeks.

i agree with this... definitely make sure it's something that can be frozen so it doesn't go bad if they don't feel like eating right away.

how terribly sad Chat Icon

Chat Icon that is heartbreaking. Chat Icon

I would send food or a gift card to their favorite place to eat. They will need each other this year.

Gosh how devastating! I think sending an edible arrangement would be appropriate.

Oh my. I would suggest flowers or a Harry&David food basket, both are neutral sentiments.

I feel just so terrible for them.

Re: interfaith families, need help.

I'm so sorry to hear what happened. My dh and I are interfaith. When I suffered a similiar loss some of my neighbors made a donation to the March of dimes and brought food over that I could freeze for easy meals. I thought that was very thoughtful and helped out tremendously.

Another neighbor went over to the house. She was fine Friday at the Dr, Saturday she didnt feel them move much so her Dr sent her to L&D. Sono showed no heartbeats. She is still in L&D, they want her to deliever v#ginally and she wants a C-Sec. We've decided on sending a 7 day meal plan from send a meal.

Thank you ladies for all your suggestions. They arent having any type of service since she doesnt want to name them. So sadChat Icon
