Interesting insight for those ttc

My DH and I have been ttc for 11 months for our 2nd child. Always used clear blue easy digital opks. This month I used them as well but I also did my bbt. After tracking the temps starting with the 1st day of my menses I come to discover a big surprise. I had no smiley on wednsday at 4pm but Thursday at 4pm I had a smiley face(pos opk). After continuing to track my temps fertilty friend told me that I ovulated on the first day I got my smiley face which was thursday. My DH and I BD'd on Thurs, Fri, Sat, and this morning. Now relaizing that BD'ing on saturday sunday would not have helped and would have been to late. It gets me thing that although an opk says 24-36 hours after first pos we ovulate this wouldnt have been the case for me. I ovulated just a few hours after the first positive. So I wished I BD'd perhaps on tues and wed before the postive. Just sending some thoughts on this out here.

great point. opks are not always accurate. last time i was ttc i used them, and found that different brands gave me different answers (same urine sample!).

this is the reason i'm all about the every other day BD plan. it keeps things simple - if you just BD every other day during your 1-2 most fertile weeks, there is no way you will miss ovulation.
