I read something similar today about how since the shot is not as effective as we hoped against mutations, it appears that herd immunity can only be achieved through natural infection.

As the number of vaccine mandates continue to increase…

That is bat shiiit crazy to me considering how many vaxxinated are getting and spreading COVID. I mean common sense should prove that natural immunity is the best measure against future COVID infections.

I’m thinking the reason is that cases should be less severe if vaccinated.

but who is to say how someones body is going to react to a virus, not everyone is going to have a severe reaction. I know many people that had it and were find within 2-4 days. Also People are dying from covid that also had the vax.

COVID is leaps and bounds deadlier than the chickenpox…and nobody seems to have a problem giving their kids the chickenpox vaccine.

The chickenpox vaccine has been around 26 years and proven to be effective.

Effective against a virus that is rarely deadly.
And when it was first mandated it wasn’t around for 26 years. It was new.

I’m sure more people have died of COVID in the last 18 months than people who have died from chickenpox ever.

Many are dying WITH the vaccine and covid vaccine was compared to the chickenpox that parents was willing to give it to their kids. Unless you are speaking of parents of kids who are adults now. I don't think many posters here have kids that old.

Exactly.
How many CHILDREN are dying of Covid?
How many children died of chicken pox before there was a vaccine?
The numbers are probably not that far off.
As much as nobody wants to admit it because it doesn't fit the agenda of VACINATE YOUR KIDS FOR COVID, this virus is mainly deadly to adults.
Not kids

Yup and I doubt there are any posters that have children that old that it would have been brand new. Heck I have an adult child and it was STILL not "new" compared to the covid vaccine.

Not only that but you hardly ever hear about chickenpox cases because that vaccine actually prevents people from getting the chicken pox unlike the COVID jab.

So should we wait until it mutates and starts killing kids before we protect them?

No one is stopping you from protecting your children, get them vaccinated. No one is telling parents they can not vaccinate their kids.

But if you want to go there- if I vaccinate my daughter today this vaccine is probably not effective against a big bad mutation like that.
As we are seeing now with Delta.
So why bother today?
I'll wait for the vaccine that protects against the child killer variant

Ya, skip over these posts. You don't get an opinion and your input isn't valuable here on these types of posts unless you are completely ANTI COVID vax and believe that you should live life as you did pre-covid without any regard for others.. Since you have gone against the posse you should now expect to be internet stalked and personal information blasted on this thread. It isn't worth it, trust me.

FYI I'm not anti vax. Or even Anti Covid vax.
I have said I will gladly get it when it's perfected and actually works. And when it's been out long enough that I know that the risk of the vaccine is less than the risk of Covid- TO ME.
And I've never stalked anyone on here nor do I care to.
Know who you're talking about

Many are dying WITH the vaccine and covid vaccine was compared to the chickenpox that parents was willing to give it to their kids. Unless you are speaking of parents of kids who are adults now. I don't think many posters here have kids that old.

Exactly.
How many CHILDREN are dying of Covid?
How many children died of chicken pox before there was a vaccine?
The numbers are probably not that far off.
As much as nobody wants to admit it because it doesn't fit the agenda of VACINATE YOUR KIDS FOR COVID, this virus is mainly deadly to adults.
Not kids

So should we wait until it mutates and starts killing kids before we protect them?

But if you want to go there- if I vaccinate my daughter today this vaccine is probably not effective against a big bad mutation like that.
As we are seeing now with Delta.
So why bother today?
I'll wait for the vaccine that protects against the child killer variant

Nice attitude. Seriously? Give me a break with the eye roll.

Ya, skip over these posts.

It's happening, lined up all over the streets in Oklahoma. My sisters cousins friends ex boyfriends coworker who is nurse said its really bad over there. And also India. Because that's Apples to Apples comparison you know.

They are dropping like flies!!

The Drama.. who is protecting the kids! We need to save the children. Or how about the parents protect their own kids and make the best decision for their kids. Something, I like to call parenting.

Not kids

So should we wait until it mutates and starts killing kids before we protect them?

Drama
Kids dropping dead in the streets.

You don't get an opinion and your input isn't valuable here on these types of posts unless you are completely ANTI COVID vax and believe that you should live life as you did pre-covid without any regard for others.. Since you have gone against the posse you should now expect to be internet stalked and personal information blasted on this thread. It isn't worth it, trust me.

omg people really just say whatever they want and think because they say it, its true.

Nell is not anti vax, as neither am I. An people who are pro covid vaccine post their opinions all day on this site. It is the norm and the most popular opinion. Stop making shit up.

Give me a break, honestly. Mxoxom2004 posted their opinion and was immediately met with eye rolls and condescension.

Not true, she asked a condescending question and was met with eye roll. The eye roll wasn’t for her opinion. I’m not saying who is right or wrong but let’s stop fabricating the truth.

When the Chicken pox vaccine came out it was not thrown in everyones face. It became a part of your child's inoculations when the time came. It went through proper FDA approval. This vaccine has been the focus to the media and the powers that be for almost 8 months now. There is controversial information floating around out there. I know of people that had bad reactions to the shot. I know of people that had bad cases of covid even after being vaccinated. This shot is becoming mandatory with minimal FDA approval at best. You say that Nurses should get it because a patient has the right to safety. What happens when the nurses leave and there is not enough nurses or doctors to properly care for patients or the Vaxed nurses end up carrying the burden and become over worked. The nurse, doctors, police, fire, therapists have worked in person with people for the last year and a half never questioning their safety going to work but now they need this vaccine that has not done what it is sold to do. I'm so glad people out there have gotten the vaccine and feel safe but for once stop listening to what the media is selling and look around you. What is going on is not kosher and we have a lot at stake to lose.
