Insurance question - IVF

Dr B recommended I do an ER and then freeze while treating some immune issues that I have. We will transfer after I get some of my levels down. My question is, does insurance consider that two IVFs? I have a lifetime max of 4 IVFs so I don't want to use 2 up on one cycle. Anyone have a similar situation with insurance covering a certain number of IVFs?

Insurance question - IVF

I would call but I think the ER and Transfer would be considered 1 IVF. Talk to Dr. B's office too, they might know.

I think you and I are on the same cycle. Have you started stims? I am on day 4 of Stims.

Thanks. Not yet, I am going to be a cycle behind you. I had to wait 1 cycle since I had a laparoscopy a week and a half ago. Dr B wanted to give me some time to heal.

How is the stimming going?

You should definitely call and ask your insurance. I know that my insurance considers a FET a transfer and the retrieval would also be considered a transfer so under my insurance it would be considered two of your four.

So far so good. I am on Day 4 and went in this am for blood and sono.

I am taking Metformin, Metanx, Follistim and then today I am adding in Menopur. I go back on Weds for another blood/sono check.
