Insurance & IVF question

We will be switching to GHI come Oct & hoping to start IVF right away (I am so anxious).

I have a question about OON coverage. Since Dr B no longer takes ins but GHI has OON coverage, do I have to pay for everything up front then get reimbursed by the ins co?
I dont understand how this works.

Usually the Dr will bill the insurance company, then the ins company will send you a check for the amount they will cover. in the past i have just brought that check in and gave it to the dr. any difference the office will bill you separately.

but the process might vary depending on the dr's office....give them a call.

It depends on the insurance. They submit and get paid directly by my ins. (I dont have IVF though)
