Instant Love
I just want to say that I already love my LO but I can't wait for the day he/she arrives. I cant wait for that immediate feeling of Love for something so much. I love my DH and I love my dog and my family but I know it has to be such a different feeling and I am looking forward to. Was it this way for any of you BTDT moms? Are any of the other Moms to be looking forward to this as much as I am?

Re: Instant Love
Honestly, for me, it was NOT this way at all. It was something that grew over time. Everyone is different, but for me he was just this little stranger when he was born. I grew to love him more and more and now, I would throw myself in front of a bus for him.
But I know for many it was instant. Just not for me. But, even if it isn't instant for you, you will feel it, and soon. I promise

Re: Instant Love
for me it was not instant either. When I was pregnant with DD, I was excited and happy and looking forward to meeting her but I couldnt say that I had an overwhelming feeling of love for her. When she was born, I knew I loved her but it wasnt like all encompassing as it is now. It took a few weeks before I really fell in love with her although of course I took care of her and enjoyed her. I think I needed to get to know her first. Now it is like no other feeling I have ever had...the love is overwhelming and I cant wait to feel the same for #2!
