Installing the car seat
Did you do it with or without the help of the toll-free line or the check by the police department? I am hearing that we should install and then take it to the police to get it checked?
I am interested to see how other people handled it!

Re: Installing the car seat
I am going to take mine to the fire department and have them take care of it. It will just give me peace of mind, KWIM?

I went to Hassel in WB and they installed it. No appt necessary, no charge, and it took the associate less than 5 minutes to do it.

Re: Installing the car seat
I was thinking of putting it in myself and perhaps having my boss take a look at it- he is a volunteer fire chief

Re: Installing the car seat
I think me and DH are going to try to do it our self then I'll probaly have one of my girlfriends with kids look at it and if I still don't feel comfortable I'll go to the police dept.

Re: Installing the car seat
DH installed it and had it checked by the police department. I highly recommend getting it inspected by the police department since so many of them aren't properly installed.

Re: Installing the car seat
If you are getting it checked you don't have to install it yourself - but having said that - if you do install it yourself then take it to get checked then they can tell you what needed to be changed so you know for the future. I would not recommend just doing it yourself b.c I know my hospital says that something like 80-90% of car seats are incorrectly installed.
