Insomnia

Ladies, I need help. I have trouble falling asleep & staying asleep, but the worst part is trying to fall asleep. I'm TTC & am on the 2WW currently, so I'm trying to be careful of what I take. I have an RX of Ambien, but obviously am not taking that.
I just took a bath with baby nighttime bath & that didn't work. I haven't had caffeine today, I've been watching what I eat, no sweets & nothing works. I did some research on natural remidies, such as roots, etc. but I thought I'd reach out to you ladies & see what has worked for you & anyone you know. TIA Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Insomnia

-Warm tea (decaf)

-I love to cover my eyes and put
ear plugs in my ears...they say the rhythm of your breathing helps you sleep (it helps me alot)

- Reading makes my eyes tired

- Just trying to relax, you probably have a lot of your mind and the 2ww ain't helping lol...

Hope you get a good nights sleep!

Re: Insomnia

I agree with all the advice above..... and... I thought I would also throw out there that I had a roommate in college whose boyfriend was constantly sleeping over, and his method of falling asleep was watching the history channel- he was not AT ALL interested in it. He would fall asleep pretty fast, actually Chat Icon

Now if it were ME ... I would probably put on a sports game.. like football. I CANNOT follow football, it would def bore me to sleep.

ETA: On a more serious note, sometimes if I have a lot on my mind, I find writing in a journal helps. You don't even necessarily have to 'write'. You could type it into a word document and even delete it afterward if you want! Chat Icon OR it could be fun to start keeping a documented diary of your TTC/pregnancy journey for your DC to see one day about how excited you were for him/her Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Good luck!

Re: Insomnia

Thanks girls. TV won't work, b/c I will watch anything & NEVER fall asleep infront of the TV Chat Icon Reaing may work, but DH is already in bed so I can't read in bed & I fear if I read in the living room then I won't go to sleep either, but I'll try that tonight. Thanks! Chat Icon
