Injured bird in back yard - What to do
There is a baby bird in my backyard that is clearly injured. She won't walk/fly. What do I do?

So I went to give her a piece of bread and she ran away. So she can walk. Do I just let her be?

Re: Injured bird in back yard - What to do
I just had two robins in my yard for a week as they were learning how to fly. I too thought they were injured b/c they could only hop. I googled it and found out that they most likely hopped out of their nest and were learning to fly. After a few days they were gone.
I could see each day they were flying a little higher. I have a 6ft fence and they couldn't get over it to get out. Every time I went close to them I could hear the mom/dad bird chirping away in the tree.
My advice would be to leave them and see what happens in a few days.
Robins are big birds and the babies were pretty big for babies and that's why I thought the bird was injured.

Call a local vet. When I found an injured baby bird in my yard, they took it in. They had told me to feed it dry cat food kibble that's been softened in some water.
