This may be a silly question,
If your infant had/has reflux, did that stop you from doing things like Gymboree or My gym and such?
My son spits up all day long. I call him a running faucet.
I would like to do a class with him, but I'm concerned about him spitting up all over everything.
I would think the other moms would be upset with me cleaning spit up off of everything.

Lol that was my son. I did trial classes and he split up at each place. I was embarrassed but they didn't seem to mind and had wipes handy. I'd just have a set of wipes with you in case. They understand.

I waited until DD's reflux improved simply because she was uncomfortable laying on her tummy- tummy time caused her to spit up almost instantly-- that said it gets better.

Absolutely not! Most babies have reflux to some degree and all moms are used to spitting up. Just bring a burp cloth with you and have fun!

Thank you for the replies. I hate feeling like I cant go places with him because he will spit up everywhere.
he spits up no matter what position he is in, so doesn't matter if he is on his back, belly, holding him, in his car seat.
I still may wait until flu season comes to end. He is a preemie, 6 months old but 4 months adjusted.
Thanks again everyone.

Re: infants with reflux

I took DS to different activities and his reflux was awful. We never went to a "gym" place though. I do understand your hesitation. I was always so embarrassed....

I thought it was never going to clear up and then around 6-7 months, it became more manageable.
