Infants and Halloween

So... what are your plans with the baby?

We're going with my sister's kids in NJ around. DH is using Mason as an excuse to go out and get candy. Since he'll only be 5 months old DH plans on eating all the candy. Chat Icon

Anyone else? Are you dressing your baby up? I know someone who isn't dressing up her 8 month old daughter b/c she just said there's no point. I still love the holiday... great for pictures too!

Re: Infants and Halloween

DD was 4.5m last year and we dressed her up (as Princess Leia) for photos. I didn't take her ToT though. This year we'll go around the neighborhood...

Re: Infants and Halloween

DD is 5 months as well. She is going to be a ladybug.
On the 30th daycare is doing a Halloween celebration and will have a little parade around the building outside, etc. The older kids will go from class room to class room trick or treating.
On Halloween we will probably just dress her up and take her to see some family members. We won't go door to door unless we just walk around a little bit with my sister and her kids.

No plans! Not even doing a costume. She has a pumkpin bunting that my aunt bought that I will send her to daycare in on Friday for the "costume parade" (which I don't even get to see Chat Icon ).

Re: Infants and Halloween

Sean is 6 months - He'll be an astronaut.

We'll probably put him the stroller and take him out w/ our friends - they're kids are a bit older - but still fun for him to be around the kids -

Lily will only be three weeks old, but she has a pumpkin costume and we'll stay home and hand out candy to the TOTers.

Re: Infants and Halloween

We'll dress DS up for pictures and depending on whether he tolerates the costume, I'll leave it on to greet TOTers. Daycare also has a Halloween party on Friday night where everyone dresses up, but I'm not sure if we'll go.

DD was 6 months old last year. I dressed her up as a pumpkin and we walked around with DH's niece. But I did not get any candy for her, we were just along for the ride.

DH is using our DS for candy too.

We're also taking DS out TOT for a little bit around our neighborhood. Then I may take him to my mom and/or MIL.

Re: Infants and Halloween

Last year AJ was 2.5mo old

She was dressed as a cat and me as a cleopatria (so she was my temple cat Chat Icon )

We took her Trick or Treating and had a blast. She got a full bucket of candy Chat Icon My hubby worked on it for months! Chat Icon

I am so glad we did it. It was so much fun and a great experience. She and another boy about one month older than her hung out in their little outfits and it was so cute.

can't wait for this year!

For his 1st Halloween my son was a pumpkin. It was a onsie outfit that zippered up and the hood was in the shape of a pumpkin top. It was perfect for him. We took him trick or treating...

In the Marlboro area. I think that's too far South for you girl. Chat Icon You're N Jersey, right?

Although our plan is to eventually move to NJ in a few years.

Awe... a penguin. Too cute! Can't wait for all of us to post pics after the holidays. Chat Icon
