Infant Car Seats...
Yes, yet another post about car seats. I figured out which convertible one I want (Marathon) but having hard time determining which infant one we want. Since we are doing the citi mini, we are trying to avoid the Chicco carseat as it would be more expensive than the Gracos.
If you have a Graco caresat, which do you have (30, 35) and do you like it. I saw the B is for Bear one but reviews on BRU seem mixed and there are a lot of complaints about the saftey sticker and also regarding the canopy not folding and getting annoying with the handle. Does anyone find this true or just people being super picky.
I am worried about 35 being too heavy and its more expensive than the 30...
HELP!

I don't know anything about Graco seats but if the 30 is lighter than the 35 go with that one - It is highly unlikely that you will use it till your baby is 30 lbs, they are waaaayyyyy to heavy to carry in the infant seat at that point!

ITA- DD was out of that seat by 6 months..couldnt carry it anymore. We had the 30- there is no way you will need it up to 35 lbs

Re: Infant Car Seats...
Okay great that is what I was learning towards the 30 not the 35. Anyone have recommendations as to which 30 that is gender neutral that they have used or played with a lot with not many complaints?

Re: Infant Car Seats...
I think Im going to get the regular snugride (platinum), the one that goes to 22 pounds. My BTDT friends have recommended that one and told me that by the time the baby reaches 22 pounds you wouldnt want to be carrying them in the carseat

Re: Infant Car Seats...
We bought the Snugride 35 because that had the pattern we liked and the stroller was light. I didn't notice that much of a difference in weight. Haven't used it yet though, so I have no advice...sorry!

Re: Infant Car Seats...
We have the standard snugride (22) and DD is only 13 1/2 lbs right now at 4.5 months old and OMG IT IS HEAVY!!!!!!!!! We use it on the snap n go but I do not carry her anywhere anymore if it's further than like 20 feed. Honestly, just carrying her in the seat up my front steps is a PITA. It has gotten to the point that I carry her into the GYM (where I go to WEIGHT TRAINING CLASS LOL) ON the snap n go!!!!!!!
DH has no problem with it, but DD is still really small.
I actually got an amazing deal on the Graco MyRide 65 at Target last week (it was on sale for $100; it's never that cheap) and I think I'll probably be moving her into that once she's a bit more mobile -- maybe 6 to 8 months. We'll see. The snap n go is awesome, but I'd never rely on carrying the infant seat up to the weight limit.
Now that the AAP recc is rear facing until 2 years old (instead of 1) I knew I was going to need a convertible seat that lasts a while. I wouldn't sweat the infant seat. Choose whichever you like most and find most convenient.
