Seriously though, I was over a week late. Nothing I did helped at all. When DD was ready, out she came.

Haha! Pitocin here as well!!
I tried bouncing on a big ball 24/7, ate pineapple, walked everywhere and nothing worked. It can't hurt to try though!

Actually, the day I finally went into labor, I'd been walking around the mall for HOURS. Granted, I was having labor pains (which I thought was gas) for hours before I got there.

My 2nd and 3rd kids were 10 and 11 days past EDD. I have tried everything and nothing worked for me. Baby comes when they are ready! (Disclaimer - I didn't try castor oil - because sitting on the toilet my last moments of pregnancy is not appealing to me for a slight chance it might work!)
I do think you can help your cervix get ready with sex and sitting on a exercise ball. I was 5cm dilated and 50% effaced at my 41 week appt and I think a lot of that was due to the exercise ball. I still didn't give birth until 41w4d and when it happened, it was fast and easy!

I was in early labor for like 2 days and I just about had enough so I really jump started it by walking for miles and eating franks red hot sauce. I went to the hospital shortly thereafter

Friday I had eggplant and
Sunday my water broke
Ds was born Monday am

Agree with and eggplant!
Had eggplant parm for dinner around 5pm. around 11pm. Was in labor by about 11:30pm and DD was born at 9:30am. She was 8 days early. Good luck!
ETA: my cervix was long and closed at my appointment on Thursday. Labor started Sunday night....

I did everything except castor oil and nothing worked. Pineapple always gave me contractions but they always stopped. Only thing that could have worked was the day before I went into labor the dr stripped my membranes. That said, I was 11 days past due so it could have been a coincidence
ETA I was also 3 cm for 3 weeks!

I walked up and down the stairs for 3 hrs doing laundry then I ended the night with 6 am I went into labor

schedule an induction... at 13 days past due, I was scheduled to be induced that morning and woke up with contractions

NOTHING worked for me! LOL. I tried almost everything except the Castor oil. Doc just ended up inducing me.
