At 19w I would take it to be correct--congrats Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

My doc said a guess at 12w is 75% I would think a guess at 19w is pretty close to 100%!

Re: In your opinion, how accurate is...

I think it really depends on how cooperative the baby is. The parts are developed at 15w so they can tell that early if the baby is in the right position, but if not its harder to be certain. I'm assuming thats why your doctor isn't 100%?

We got a ****** shot at 16w and the tech and doctor both told us 100% Chat Icon

I will say that everyone I know who had an uncooperative baby turned out to be having a girl, so maybe there's something to that. When we got a gender guess at 11w I didn't put too much weight on that, but the fact that the baby was spread eagle made me think it would be a boy...

Thanks girls. I know, at 19w I think it is pretty accurate. The baby was moving but of course not in the exact position that you need to really see what the gender is but she was able to see something. I'm thinking team pink is accurate but I just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

Thanks again Chat Icon

Re: In your opinion, how accurate is...

At 19 weeks.. I think it's pretty accurate! My level 2 was at 19.5 weeks along.

But I too was worried. Mostly because once you announce the sex you have those few people who say "oh be careful, ya know so and so thought they were having an x and they had an x".

I actually had one girl tell me her boy was supposed to be a girl... and I KNOW her boy was a boy before he was born. She was running boy names by me.... and I remember her telling me he's a boy. BUT she probably just wanted to rain on my parade.

Anyway... I just had them double check for me at 27 weeks... and still a girl. So now I feel better.

You really read my mind. DH and I were so excited last night when we left the dr office. I went to work today and everyone was so happy but there were a few ppl who said the exact same thing. I'm guessing she only said 75% bc the baby wasn't in the exact position but she sounded pretty confident and told us to start picking girls names. Congrats on your baby girl!! So exciting!Chat Icon
