Beds....Opinion please...

OK so we have a queen bed now - Fits in the room good.... BUT we might be getting a new bed - should we go for the king which might look REALLY big for the room or stick with the queen for now and upgrade for bigger in 5-years when we go up and out on the house...

I'm a king size girl...we had a queen and we insisted on a king after our HM where we had one. It fits in the room really nicely, not too big.

I say go with the room size, especially if you plan on staying in that house.

We are moving soon to our second house and our bedroom will be about 18 X 15 (Approx). We have DH's old IKEA bedroom set now but we are planning on buying a nice one and upgrading to a king because of the size of the room. Had we stayed in our current house I'd have kept the queen.

Re: Beds....Opinion please...

the house DH and I will be moving too, the master bdrm is better suited for a queen bed, however we have a queen now, and we def need more room, i like my space and he likes his, so we're going with the king, and we'll figure out a way to position everything so that it works.

The king bed will initially look HUGE in the room. But after a week you get used to the size and don't even realize it.

But you will thank yourself for going King cause its sooooo worth it.

I have a king bed in a 15x12 bedroom and i still have plenty of room to move around.

Plus...think of what you're actually doing in the room...sleeping! So do you really need all that much extra space? Had we picked a different house, we were considering putting one of our dressers in the closet to gain more floor space.

We needed the King size...DH is tall and we both need our room (especially lately with my being PG!) AND We have a pillow fetish....there are 8 pillows on our bed!!! And can't forget the dogs...they need their space too!Chat Icon
