Impatients??
My brother was saying he heard on the news that you should NOT buy impatients this year...that they have some sort of fungus? anyone hear this?

Impatients??
I heard there was a fungus on the plants and if you did find any or use them it could spread to your other plants. They said that the crop will be affected for 5 years I think.

Impatients??
My nursery will not be selling impatients for the next 5 years. They were all diseased. I had 4 flats all die on me last year.

I saw something about this. But I thought it was only a certain species. Others are fine. But I could be wrong.

I LOVE Impatiens and have been planting them for many years... Last year mine all died within a few weeks whereas they generally last unitl Autumn...
There are some stores still selling them but was advised not to buy them since they won't last 
I am going to look into Sunpatiens which is a supposed to be a "hybrid" Impatiens - New Guinea Impatiens (which I don't really like) but need an alternative.

Yep, the flower lady at HD said it will be AT LEAST 3 years before all the funk is gone.
